Regional Growth Fund Amendment Regulations 2011

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe geographical areas to be included in regional Victoria for the purposes of the Regional Growth Fund Act 2011.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 7 of the Regional Growth Fund Act 2011.

3New regulation 5 inserted

After regulation 4 of the Regional Growth Fund Regulations 2011[1] insert—

5Prescribed geographical area—bushfire readiness"

(1)For the purposes of section 3(2) of the Act, the prescribed geographical areas to be included in regional Victoria are the municipal districts specified in Schedule 2.

(2)The geographical areas referred to in subregulation (1) are prescribed for the purpose of funding projects to improve the bushfire readiness of Victorian communities.".

4New Schedule 2 inserted

After Schedule 1 to the Regional Growth Fund Regulations 2011 insert—
