Control of Weapons Amendment Regulations 2012

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Control of Weapons Regulations 2011 to impose the obligations imposed on a member of the police force under regulation 12 on a protective services officer who conducts a search whilst on duty at a railway station.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 12 of the Control of Weapons Act 1990.

3Amendments to regulation 12

(1)In regulation 12(1)(d) of the Control of Weapons Regulations 2011[1] after "member of the police force" insert "or protective services officer".

(2)In regulation 12(2) of the Control of Weapons Regulations 2011—

(a) after "member of the police force" insert "or protective services officer"; and

(b) after "the member" insert "or officer".
