Victoria State Emergency Service Amendment Regulations 2012

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Victoria State Emergency Service Regulations 2006 to replace references to the Director of Operations with references to the Chief Officer, Operations.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 55 of the Victoria State Emergency Service Act 2005.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2012.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Victoria State Emergency Service Regulations 2006[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Amending references to Director of Operations in regulations

In regulations 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35 and 36 of the Principal Regulations, for "Director of Operations" (wherever occurring) substitute "Chief Officer, Operations".

6Amending references to Director of Operations in headings to regulations

In the heading to regulations 8, 12, 15, 24 and 26 of the Principal Regulations, for "Director of Operations" substitute "Chief Officer, Operations".

7Director of Operations may cancel membership for non‑attendance or lack of competency

(1)In the heading to regulation 31 of the Principal Regulations, for "Director of Operations" substitute "Chief Officer, Operations".

(2)In regulation 31 of the Principal Regulations, for "Director of Operations" (wherever occurring) substitute "Chief Officer, Operations".

(3)In regulation 31(2) of the Principal Regulations, for "Director" substitute "Chief Officer".
