Accident Towing Services Amendment (Peninsula Link) Regulations 2012

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2008 to provide that where an allocation body has authorised a rostered tow truck to attend an accident scene on the Peninsula Link Freeway, the allocation body may report that authorisation to the Peninsula Link Freeway Corporation or an agent of that corporation.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 223 of the Accident Towing Services Act 2007.

3Authorisation to attend road accident scene

After regulation 31(3)(b) of the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2008[1] insert

"(ba)if the accident scene is on the Peninsula Link Freeway, report the matter to the Peninsula Link Freeway Corporation or to an agent of that corporation; and".
