Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Amendment Regulations 2013

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Regulations 2012 to reflect the transfer of the powers and functions of the Director, Police Integrity to the Commissioner of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission by the Integrity and Accountability Legislation Amendment Act 2012.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 232 of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 10 February 2013.

4Conciliation and mediation

For regulation 7(b) of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Regulations 2012[1] substitute

"(b)the IBAC within the meaning of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Act 2011;".
