Road Safety Act 1986
Road Safety (General) Amendment Regulations 2013
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 to—
(a)prescribe new speed detectors for the purposes of the Road Safety Act 1986;
(b)revoke existing prescribed speed detectors;
(c)make minor amendments to other prescribed speed detectors;
(d)amend the summary of parking infringements in Schedule 6.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3Commencement
(1)These Regulations (except regulation 6) come into operation on the day on which they are made.
(2)Regulation 6 comes into operation on 1 November 2013.
4Prescribed speed detectors
(1)Regulation 41(b)(i) and (iii) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009[1] are revoked.
(2)For regulation 41(b)(vi) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 substitute—
"(vi)the Pro-Lite +;
(vii)the ProLaser 4 (also known as the PROLASER 4);
(viii)the DragonEye Compact (also known as the DragonEye COMPACT); and".
(3)For regulation 41(c) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 substitute—
"(c)the following radar devices—
(i)the HR4;
(ii)the Falcon (also known as the FALCON);
(iii)the KR-10SP;
(iv)the Silver Eagle (also known as the SILVER EAGLE);
(v)the Silver Eagle II (also known as the SILVER EAGLE II);
(vi)the Stalker Dual DSR (also known as the STALKER DUAL DSR);
(vii)the Directional Golden Eagle II (also known as the DIRECTIONAL GOLDEN EAGLE II);
(viii)the Falcon HR;
(ix)the Raptor RP-1;
(x)the Directional Talon (also known as the DIRECTIONAL TALON);
(xi)the Stalker II SDR (also known as the STALKER II SDR).".
5Use of radar devices
(1)In regulation 46(c) the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009, for "Kustom HR4, Kustom Falcon and the Falcon HR," substitute "HR4, the Falcon, the Falcon HR, the Directional Talon and the Stalker II SDR,".
(2)In regulation 46(d) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009—
(a)for "Kustom KR-10SP" substitute "KR‑10SP";
(b)omit "the Kustom Golden Eagle,";
(c)for "Kustom Silver Eagle" substitute "Silver Eagle".
6Schedule 6
(1)In item 6 of the Table to Schedule 6 to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009, for "Parked not at an angle of 45 degrees" substitute "Parked—fail to comply with angle parking requirement".
(2)In item 7 of the Table to Schedule 6 to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009, for "Parked not at an angle of 90 degrees" substitute "Parked—fail to comply with 90° angle parking requirement".
