Forests (Recreation) Amendment Regulations 2015

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Forests (Recreation) Regulations 2010 to exempt the holder of a levee maintenance permit from particular offences while acting under and in accordance with that permit and to make a technical amendment to improve the operation of the Regulations.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 99 of the Forests Act 1958.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 18 March 2015.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Forests (Recreation) Regulations 2010[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Construction and excavation activities

For regulation 24(4)(b) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(b)acting in accordance with regulation 15(1)(b); or

(c)acting under and in accordance with a levee maintenance permit issued under Part 5AA of the Water Act 1989.".

6Riding, driving, leading or bathing horses or pack animals into a forest park

In regulation 49(3) of the Principal Regulations, for "section" substitute "regulation".
