Building Amendment Regulations 2015

The Administrator of the State of Victoria as the Governor's deputy, with the advice of the Executive Council, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Building Regulations 2006—

(a)to reflect changes to the BCA which come into operation on 1 May 2015; and

(b)to make a miscellaneous amendment.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 7, 261 and 262 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Building Act 1993.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 May 2015.

4Regulations relating to stair construction and fire hose reels revoked

Regulations 117 and 118 of the Building Regulations 2006[1] are revoked.

5Prescribed matters reported on by council

In item 9 in Part 2 of Schedule 4 to the Building Regulations 2006, for "reg. 415(5)" substitute "reg. 415(6)".
