Survey Co-ordination Amendment Regulations 2015

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Survey Co-ordination Regulations 2014 to make minor technical amendments.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under section 22 of the Survey Co-ordination Act 1958.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 14 June 2015.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Survey Co-ordination Regulations 2014[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Definitions

In regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations—

(a)in the definition of Map Grid of Australia 1994 (MGA 1994)—

(i)for "(MGA 1994)" substitute "(MGA94)"; and

(ii)for "(GDA 94)" substitute "(GDA94)";

(b)in the definition of standard traverse, after "1994" insert "(MGA94)".

6Bearings of surveys

In regulation 10(1) of the Principal Regulations, after "1994" insert "(MGA94)".

7Connections of surveys to permanent marks

In regulation 11(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations, for "regulation 7 of the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2005¹" substitute "regulation 7 of the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2015".

8Survey equipment

In regulation 12(b) of the Principal Regulations, for "regulation 7 of the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2005" substitute "regulation 7 of the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2015".

9Plan forms

In regulation 14(b) and (d) of the Principal Regulations, after "1994" (wherever occurring) insert "(MGA94)".

10Classification of surveys and plans

In regulation 15(1) of the Principal Regulations, for "regulation 7 of the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2005" substitute "regulation 7 of the Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2015".

11Schedule 4

In Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, in the heading to Column 2, for "MGA 94" (wherever occurring) substitute "MGA94".
