Liquor Control Reform Amendment Regulations 2015

The Administrator of the State of Victoria as the Governor's deputy, with the advice of the Executive Council, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2009 to—

(a)prescribe a further substance for the purposes of the definition of liquor in section 3(1) of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998; and

(b)make other minor amendments.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 180 of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2015.

4Prescribed substances for the purposes of the definition of liquor

(1)For the heading to regulation 6 of the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2009[1] substitute—

"Prescribed substances for the purposes of the definition of liquor".

(2)In regulation 6 of the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2009—

(a)in paragraph (c), for "Celsius." substitute "Celsius;";

(b)after paragraph (c) insert—

"(d)a dry, soluble concentrated substance, including powders, crystals, capsules or tablets, that is designed for retail supply.".

5Notice of Revocation of Closure and Evacuation Notice

In Form 2 of Schedule 3 to the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2009, for "Regulation)" substitute "Regulation".
