Road Safety (General) Amendment (Application of Fees) Regulations 2015

The Administrator of the State of Victoria as the Governor's deputy, with the advice of the Executive Council, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009—

(a)to replace the reference to regulation 18 of the Road Management (Works and Infrastructure) Regulations 2005 in the provision relating to the payment of fees into the Road Corporation's general fund with a reference to the new remade provision under the Road Management (Works and Infrastructure) Regulations 2015; and

(b)to, consistently with the amendments made by the Victoria Police Amendment (Consequential and Other Matters) Act 2014, update the language in Schedule 4 to refer to a police officer or police officers instead of a member or members.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 20 June 2015.

4Application of certain fees

In regulation 85A(b) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009[1], for "regulation 18 of the Road Management (Works and Infrastructure) Regulations 2005" substitute "regulation 22 of the Road Management (Works and Infrastructure) Regulations 2015".

5Schedule 4—Search and seizure warrant

In Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009, for "member or those members" substitute "police officer or those police officers".
