Conveyancers (Professional Conduct and Trust Account and General) Amendment Regulations 2015

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Conveyancers (Professional Conduct and Trust Account and General) Regulations 2008 to prescribe infringement offences and infringement penalties for certain offences in relation to the audit of trust records under the Conveyancers Act 2006.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 188 of the Conveyancers Act 2006.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2015.

4Schedule 3—Infringement Offences and Infringement Penalties

After the entry relating to section 80(1) in the Table in Schedule 3 to the Conveyancers (Professional Conduct and Trust Account and General) Regulations 2008[1], insert

"section 84(1) 12 penalty units
section 85(1A) 12 penalty units".
