Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Amendment Regulations 2015

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011 to provide for the appointment of 4 new members of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 10 November 2015.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Appointment of members of Foundation

(1)In regulation 5(1)(c)(i) of the Principal Regulations, for "Mr Mark Birrell" substitute "Ms Andrea Tsalamandris".

(2)In regulation 5(1)(c)(ii) of the Principal Regulations, for "Mr Peter Gordon" substitute "Mr Simon Ruth".

(3)In regulation 5(1)(d) of the Principal Regulations, for "Professor Ruth Rentschler" substitute "Ms Veronica Pardo".

(4)In regulation 5(4) of the Principal Regulations and in the note at the foot of that regulation, for "(1)(a)(i), (1)(b)(iii) and (1)(c)(i)" substitute "(1)(a)(i) and (1)(b)(iii)".

(5)For regulation 5(5) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(5)The appointments under subregulations (1)(c)(i) and (1)(c)(ii) are for the period commencing on 10 November 2015 and ending on 9 November 2018.".

(6)In regulation 5(8) of the Principal Regulations, for "1 July 2014 and ending on 30 June 2015" substitute "10 November 2015 and ending on 9 November 2018.".
