Non-Emergency Patient Transport Amendment Regulations 2015

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Regulations 2005 to remove references to clinical practice protocols.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 64 of the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Act2003.

3Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Regulations 2005[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

4Definitions

(1)In regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations, the definition of clinical practice protocols is revoked.

(2)In regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations, for the definition of management substitute

"management, in relation to the treatment of a patient, includes the administration of those drugs that may be administered by staff involved in treating the patient and other general treatment not including intervention;".

5Skills maintenance training

For regulation 24(1)(c) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(c)clinical practice.".

6Clinical practice protocols

Regulation 55 of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
