Infringements Act 2006

Infringements (General) Amendment (Lodgeable Infringement Offences) Regulations 2015

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006—

(a)to prescribe certain infringement offences under the Domestic Animals Act 1994, the Road Safety Act 1986, the Conveyancers Act 2006 and the Pipelines Act 2005 as lodgeable infringement offences for the purpose of enforcement under the Infringements Act 2006; and

(b)to revoke certain infringement offences.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 168 of the Infringements Act 2006.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 23 December 2015.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Infringements (General) Regulations 2006[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Schedule 3 amended—Domestic Animals Act 1994

(1)In item 1B.2 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)for "37(2)(b), 37(2)(ba), 37(2)(bb), 37(2)(c)," substitute "37(2),";

(b)for "41F(1)(a), 41F(1)(aa), 41F(1)(ab), 41F(1)(b), 41F(2)," substitute "41F,".

(2)In item 1B.3 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations, for "63J" substitute "63J(1)".

(3)In item 1B.4 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations—

(a)for "20(1)," substitute "20(1)(a), 20(1)(b), 20(1)(c), 20(1)(d),";

(b)for "Domestic Animals Regulations 2005" substitute "Domestic Animals Regulations 2015".

6Schedule 3 amended—Road Safety Act 1986

In item 9A.4 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations, after "151(2)," insert "151A,".

7Schedule 4 amended—Conveyancers Act 2006

In item 2AA.1 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, after "80(1)," insert "84(1), 85(1A),".

8New item 8AB inserted into Schedule 4

After item 8A of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations insert—

"8AB Pipelines Act 2005

8AB.1Sections 106(b), 107(1), 107(2), 111(a), 111(b), 114(3), 117(b), 118, 120(1), 127, 132, 134, 139 and 179.

8AB.2Regulation 19(3) of the Pipelines Regulations 2007.".
