The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

Part 1—Preliminary
1Objectives
The main objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Subordinate Legislation (Legislative Instruments) Regulations 2011—
(a)to prescribe certain instruments not to be legislative instruments for the purposes of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994; and
(b)to prescribe certain instruments to be legislative instruments for the purposes of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994; and
(c)to exempt certain legislative instruments from the operation of specified provisions of that Act.
2Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 4A and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Subordinate Legislation (Legislative Instruments) Regulations 2011[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4New regulation 8 inserted
After regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations insert—
"8 Emergency Management Act 2013—exempt instruments
For the purposes of section 4A(1)(c) of the Act, an Order made under section 74E(1) or 74H(1) of the Emergency Management Act 2013 is exempt from the operation of the following provisions of the Act—
(a)Part 2A;
(b)Part 3A;
(c)Part 5A.".
