Road Safety (General) Amendment Regulations 2016
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objectives
The objectives of these Regulations are to—
(a)make consequential amendments to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 as a result of the commencement of the Road Safety Amendment Act 2015; and
(b)provide that certain matters prescribed in the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 are prescribed for the purpose of section 83A of the Road Safety Act 1986; and
(c)provide for certain fees received by the Corporation to be paid by the Corporation into its general fund.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 18 March 2016.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Offences detected by road safety cameras or prescribed processes
In regulation 29(1) of the Principal Regulations, for "sections 66 and 84H(2)(a)(i)" substitute "section 66".
6Use of fixed analogue road safety cameras
In regulation 31 of the Principal Regulations, for "sections 80, 80A, 84(7) and 84H(2)(a)" substitute "sections 80, 80A and 84(7)".
7Use of mobile analogue road safety cameras
In regulation 34 of the Principal Regulations, for "sections 80, 80A, 81, 84(7) and 84H(2)(a)" substitute "sections 80, 80A, 81 and 84(7)".
8Regulations 35 and 36 amended
In regulations 35 and 36 of the Principal Regulations, for "sections 81 and 84(7)" substitute "sections 81, 83A(1) and 84(7)".
9Use of fixed digital road safety cameras
In regulation 37 of the Principal Regulations, for "sections 80, 80A, 81, 83A(1), 84(7) and 84H(2)(a)" substitute "sections 80, 80A, 81, 83A(1) and 84(7)".
10Regulations 38 and 39 amended
In regulations 38 and 39 of the Principal Regulations, for "sections 81 and 84(7)" substitute "sections 81, 83A(1) and 84(7)".
11Use of mobile digital road safety cameras
In regulation 40 of the Principal Regulations, for "sections 80, 80A, 81, 83A(1), 84(7) and 84H(2)(a)" substitute "sections 80, 80A, 81, 83A(1) and 84(7)".
12Application of certain fees
In regulation 85A of the Principal Regulations—
(a)in paragraph (a), for "regulation 701 of the Road Management (General) Regulations 2005" substitute "regulation 27 of the Road Management (General) Regulations 2016";
(b)in paragraph (b), for "proposed works)." substitute "proposed works); and";
(c)after paragraph (b) insert—
"(c)fees payable under regulation 23(4) of the Road Management (General) Regulations 2016 (consent fees for hoardings and advertisements).".
