Rail Safety (Local Operations) Amendment Regulations 2016
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Rail Safety (Local Operations) Regulations 2006 as a consequence of the enactment of the Road Legislation Amendment Act 2016.
2Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 109 and 110 of the Rail Safety (Local Operations) Act 2006.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 15 April 2016.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Rail Safety (Local Operations) Regulations 2006[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Certificate under section 86I(6)
(1)For regulation 26(a) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(a)a statement by the approved analyst that the analyst is an approved analyst within the meaning of section 86I(1) of the Act; and".
(2)In regulation 26(c) of the Principal Regulations, for "the analyst" substitute "the approved analyst".
6Certificate under section 86J(6)
In regulation 33(a) and (c) of the Principal Regulations, for "the analyst" substitute "the approved analyst".
