Road Safety (Drivers) and (General) Amendment Regulations 2016
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

Part 1—Preliminary
1Objectives
The objectives of these Regulations are—
(a)to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009 and the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 as a consequence of the enactment of the Road Legislation Amendment Act 2016; and
(b)to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009 to provide for the time to appeal a decision of the Corporation to disqualify a person or a driver.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 15 April 2016.
Part 2—Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009
4Exemption for holder of licence or permit issued outside Victoria
(1)For regulation 17(2)(c) of the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009[1], substitute—
"(c)the licence is written in English or accompanied by an accurate English translation and, in either case, complies with subregulation (3);".
(2)In regulation 17(3) of the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009, for "subregulation (2)(c)(i)" substitute "subregulation (2)(c)".
5Time to appeal
In regulation 85(4) of the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009, for "the suspension" substitute "the disqualification or suspension".
Part 3—Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009
6Certificate under section 57(4)
In regulation 13(a) and (c) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009[2], for "the analyst" substitute "the approved analyst".
7Certificate under section 57B(4)
In regulation 21(a) and (c) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009, for "the analyst" substitute "the approved analyst".
8Certificate under section 57A(4)
In regulation 27(a) and (f) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009, for "the analyst" substitute "the approved analyst".
9Schedule 7—Traffic infringements
In item 108 of Schedule 7 to the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 omit "or International Driving Permit".
