EastLink Project Amendment Regulations 2016

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the EastLink Project Regulations 2008—

(a)to prescribe additional tolling devices; and

(b)to amend the definition of testing officer.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 258 of the EastLink Project Act 2004.

3Definitions

(1)In regulation 3 of the EastLink Project Regulations 2008[1], in the definition of digital toll camera unit

(a)after "means" insert "the following devices";

(b)in paragraph (a) omit "and";

(c)after paragraph (b) insert

"(c)the device known as the Vehicle Registration Sensor: Kapsch Part Number 8633 004-262B;

(d)the device known as the Vehicle Registration Sensor: Kapsch Part Number 340 333-400-00;

(e)the device known as the Vehicle Registration Sensor: Kapsch Part Number VRX-2400-LPI;

(f)the device known as the Vehicle Registration Sensor Controller: Kapsch Part Number 8633 005-028;".

(2)In regulation 3 of the EastLink Project Regulations 2008, in the definition of testing officer, for paragraph (c) substitute

"(c)a testing officer of a testing facility accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia


ACN 004 379 748 (NATA); or".
