Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Miscellaneous Amendment Regulations 2016

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011 to provide for the appointment of new members to the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 October 2016.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2011[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Appointment of members of Foundation

(1)For regulation 5(1)(a)(i) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(i)Dr Sally Fawkes; and".

(2)After regulation 5(1)(b)(ii) of the Principal Regulations insert—

"(iii)Mr Benedict Hartung, a person chosen by the Minister from a panel of three names submitted by the Sports Federation of Victoria; and".

(3)For regulation 5(3) of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"(3)The appointment under subregulation (1)(a)(i) is for the period commencing on 1 October 2016 and ending on 30 September 2019.".

(4)The note at the foot of regulation 5(3) of the Principal Regulations is revoked.

(5)The note at the foot of regulation 5(4) of the Principal Regulations is revoked.

(6)After regulation 5(9) of the Principal Regulations insert—

"(10)The appointment under subregulation (1)(b)(iii) is for the period commencing on 1 October 2016 and ending on 30 September 2019.".
