Gene Technology Amendment Regulations 2016
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to make consequential amendments to the Gene Technology Regulations 2011 as a result of the commencement of the Gene Technology Amendment Act 2016.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 193 of the Gene Technology Act 2001.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2016.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Gene Technology Regulations 2011[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Information to be kept or given to the Regulator by persons or accredited organisations
In regulation 13C(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations, for "GMO and GM Product Dealings" substitute "GMO Dealings".
6Record of GMO and GM Product Dealings
(1)In the heading to regulation 39 of the Principal Regulations, for "GMO and GM Product Dealings" substitute "GMO Dealings".
(2)Regulation 39(2) of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
