Environment Protection (Industrial Waste Resource) Amendment Regulations 2017

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy, with the advice of the Executive Council, on the recommendation of the Environment Protection Authority, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Environment Protection (Industrial Waste Resource) Regulations 2009 to change the performance standard for premises where non‑liquid prescribed industrial waste may be transported to for destruction or deposit required by the Authority for the approval of transport of that waste.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 71 of the Environment Protection Act 1970.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 18 July 2017.

4Transporting prescribed industrial waste

In regulation 26(3)(b) of the Environment Protection (Industrial Waste Resource) Regulations 2009[1] after "facility with" insert "equal to or".
