Racing Act 1958

Racing (Specified Race-course) Amendment Regulations 2017

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 to prescribe additional areas of land to be specified race-courses for the purposes of Division 5 of Part I of the Racing Act 1958.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 36 of the Racing Act 1958.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 October 2017.

4Schedule 1 amended

(1)For item 1 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016[1] substitute—

"Item 1—Alexandra Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11711 Folio 845.

Item 1A—Ararat Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11712 Folio 416.".

(2)After item 4 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 4A—Balnarring Racecourse

The areas of land described in—

(a)Volume 11717 Folio 739; and

(b)Volume 11717 Folio 740.".

(3)After item 6 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 6A—Birchip Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11783 Folio 167.".

(4)After item 11 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 11A—Canni Creek Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11763 Folio 620.".

(5)After item 18 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 18A—Dederang Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11730 Folio 147.".

(6)After item 21 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 21A—Drouin Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11731 Folio 905.".

(7)After item 24 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 24A—Elmore Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11796 Folio 023.".

(8)After item 32 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 32A—Healesville Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 09208 Folio 156.".

(9)After item 33 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 33A—Hinnomunjie Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11740 Folio 509.".

(10)After item 45 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 45A—Merton Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11801 Folio 791.".

(11)After item 60 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 60A—Swifts Creek Racecourse

The areas of land described in—

(a)Volume 04395 Folio 853; and

(b)Volume 04324 Folio 733; and

(c)Volume 10951 Folio 551; and

(d)Volume 04395 Folio 853; and

(e)Volume 10951 Folio 550.".

(12)After item 68 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 68A—Woolamai Racecourse

The areas of land described in—

(a)Volume 11784 Folio 470; and

(b)Volume 07095 Folio 942.".

(13)After item 69 of Schedule 1 to the Racing (Specified Race-course) Regulations 2016 insert—

"Item 70—Yea Racecourse

The area of land described in Volume 11787 Folio 877.".
