The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Act is to repeal the to provide that the body corporate known as the Secretary to the Department of Human Services is the successor in law of St Andrew's Hospital.

Health Services (St Andrew's Hospital) Act 1997

2. Commencement

(1) Section 1 and this section come into operation on

the day on which this Act receives the Royal

Assent.

(2) Subject to sub-section (3), section 3 comes into

operation on a day to be proclaimed.

(3) If section 3 does not come into operation before
1 June 1998, it comes into operation on that day.

3. New section 176 inserted in Health Services Act 1988

After section 175 of the Health Services Act

1988 insert—

"176. St Andrew's Hospital

(1) The St Andrew's Hospital Act 1978 and the

St Andrew's Hospital (Guarantee) Act

1978 are repealed.

(2) The body corporate under section 6(1) of the

Health Act 1958 is the successor in law of

St Andrew's Hospital.".
