UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN SYDNEY ACT 1997—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the University of Western Sydney Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 1998 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the University of Western Sydney Act 1997 on 1 January 1998. Certain savings and transitional provisions contained in the Act commenced on the date of assent to the Act.
