AN ACT to amend the University of Western

Australia Act, 1911-1975.

[Assented to 9th June, 1976.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the University

of Western Australia Act Amendment Act, 1976.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the University of Western Australia Act, 1911-1976.

Section 10

amended.

2.

Section 10 of the principal Act is amended by

repealing paragraph (e) and substituting the

following paragraph

(e)

The person holding or acting in the office of the Director-General of Education under section seven of the Education Act, 1928 or a person appointed by him by notice in writing addressed to the Chancellor. .

Section 10A

amended.

3.

Subsection (1) of section 10A of the principal

Act is amended by deleting the words "ex officio

members" in line three and substituting the words "members referred to in paragraphs (e), (f) and (fa) of section ten of this Act".
