AN ACT to amend the University of Western

Australia Act, 1911-1964.

[Assented to 21st May, 1969.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the University	Short title
and citation.

of Western Australia Act Amendment Act, 1969.

(2) In this Act the University of Western Australia Act, 1911-1964, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the University of Western Australia Act, 1911-1969.

amended. 3. Section eight of the principal Act is amended

by substituting for the word, "twenty-one" in

subsection (1), the word, "twenty-two".

amended. 4. Section ten of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by deleting the word, "and", appearing immediately after paragraph (f); and
(b)	by adding after paragraph (f), a paragraph as follows

(fa) the President of the Guild of Under-

graduates ex officio; and .

amended. 5. Section eleven of the principal Act is

amended

(a)	by substituting for the word, "No" in line one, the passage, "(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2) of this section, no"; and
(b)	by adding a subsection as follows

(2) The President of the Guild of Undergraduates shall be capable of being or continuing a member of the Senate notwithstanding that he is not of the full age of twenty-one years.
