AN ACT to amend the University of Western
Australia Act, 1911-1957.
[Assented to 2nd October, 1964.]
RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the University ?..1,1et,=„.
of Western Australia Act Amendment Act, 1964.
(2) In this Act the University of Western Australia Act, 1911-1957, is referred to as the principal Act.
(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the University of Western Australia Act, 1911-1964.

| amended. | 2. Section forty of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word, "men", being the last word in the section, a passage as follows, "but the University is not prohibited by this section from acquiring any property by way of gift, devise or bequest and carrying out the objects or trusts thereof, by reason only of the fact that the gift, devise or bequest confers or is intended to confer benefits, advantages or privileges on women only or on men only". |
