His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has approved the
following By-law made by the Senate of the University of Sydney under the University of Sydney

Act 1989.

This By-law is the University of Sydney Amendment (Student Discipline) By-law
2017.

2      Commencement

This By-law commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of University of Sydney By-law 1999

(1) Clause 3 Definitions

Omit the definition of Appeals Committee from clause 3 (1).

(2) Clause 13 Chancellor may preside at meetings
Omit “(other than a Student Proctorial Board convened under Chapter 8)” from clause 13 (1) (b).
(3) Clause 47 Functions
Omit “, except a Student Proctorial Board convened under Chapter 8” from clause 47 (3) (a).
(4) Chapter 8 Student discipline
Omit the Chapter.
