UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY ACT 1989—BY-LAW

(Relating to the membership of the Academic Board of the

University of Sydney) NEW SOUTH WALES

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the University of Sydney Act 1989, has been pleased to approve of the By-law of the University of Sydney made by the Senate and set forth hereunder.

The Senate of the University of Sydney, in pursuance of the University

of Sydney Act 1989, makes the following By-law:

Amendment of Chapter 8

Chapter 8 of the By-laws of the University of Sydney is amended by

inserting after section 2 (d) the following paragraph:

(d1)

such other persons as may be appointed by the Senate, on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor, for a period prescribed by Senate resolution;

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this By-law is to provide that the Senate, on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor, may appoint additional persons to membership of the Academic Board.
