(Relating to the terms of office of the Chancellor and Deputy Chancellor)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the University of New South Wales Act 1989, has approved the by-law made by the Council of the University of New South Wales and set forth hereunder.

The Council of the University of New South Wales, in pursuance of the
University of New South Wales Act 1989, makes the following by-law:
Commencement
1. This by-law commences on 7 January 1994.
Amendment
2. Chapter I of the by-laws made under the University of New South
Wales Act 1968 is amended by omitting by-law I (a) and (b).
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this by-law is to omit the provisions of the by-laws under the
University of New South Wales Act 1989 which specify the terms of office of the
Chancellor and the Deputy Chancellor of the University of New South Wales.This by-law is made as a consequence of the amendment of the University of New South Wales Act 1989 by the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1993 to specify the term of office of the Chancellor in the Act itself. The term of office of the Deputy Chancellor is already specified in the same way.

the University of New South Wales Act 1989.
