UNIVERSITY OF NEW SOUTH WALES ACT 1968 - BY-LAW
(Relating to the President and Deputy President

of the Academic Board) NEW SOUTH WALES

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the University of New South Wales Act 1968, has approved of the By-law made by the Council of the University of New South Wales and set forth hereunder.

The Council of the University of' New South Wales, in pursuance of the University of New South Wales Act 1968, makes the following By-law

Chapter 3 of the By-laws made under the University of New South Wales Act 1968 is amended by omitting By-law 10 (3) and by inserting instead the following paragraph:

(3) Neither the President nor the Deputy President is entitled to

serve 3 consecutive terms of office.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this By-law is to enable the President of the Academic Board of the University to serve 2 consecutive terms of office (currently the President cannot serve consecutive terms) and to limit the Deputy President to 2 consecutive terms (currently there is no restriction on the number of consecutive terms that the Deputy President can serve).
