UNIVERSITY LEGISLATION (AMENDMENT) ACT 1994

No 16—PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the University Legislation (Amendment) Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1999 as the day on which the following amendments relating to the University of Newcastle Act 1989 in Schedule 1 to the University Legislation (Amendment) Act 1994 commence:

(a)	items (3) and (4),
(b)	so much of item (5) as inserts clause 11 of Schedule 3 to the University of Newcastle Act 1989.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced amendments to the University of Newcastle Act 1989 made by the University Legislation (Amendment) Act 1994. These amendments relate to the making of by-laws and rules for the University of Newcastle.
