T 3 E it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, _ D by and with tlie advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : —

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the University and Short title and

University Colleges (Amendment) Act, 1948.	citation.
(2) The University and University Colleges Act, 1900, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the University and University Colleges Act, 1900-1948.

2. (1) The University and University Colleges Act,

1900-1937, is amended by omitting from subsection one 2 2 ,1900, "

of section twenty-four the words “ one hundred thousand se c .24.

pounds” and by inserting in lieu thereof the words “ one

hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds.”

(2) Subsection one of this section shall be deemed to have commenced upon the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
