enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with
the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

| Short title. | 1. This Act may be cited as the “ University and University Colleges (Amendment). Act, 1902,” and shall be construed Avith the University and University Colleges Act, 1900, hereinafter called the Principal Act. |
| Increase of | 2. Subsection one of section twenty-four of the Principal Act is |
| endowment from |
| £5,000 to £10,000. | amended by the substitution of the word “ ten ” in place of the word “ five ” where it occurs in that subsection. |
| Students of training | 3. The senate shall allow students of training schools established |
| schools and others |
| to attend lectures | under the Public Instruction Act of 1880 and such other persons |
| on arts or science | training for the position of teacher under the Department of Public |
| fre». | Instruction as the Minister may approve to attend, for the purpose of graduating in arts or science, the University lectures for the period required for such graduation, without the payment of any fees, provided that such students and other persons shall previously have passed the entrance examination prescribed by the University by-laws. |
