UNIVERSITY AIMENDMENT

(VICE-CHANCELLOR) ACT.

Act No. 35, 1924.

An Act to provide for the election by the Senate of George v,

1 . (1) This Act may he cited as the U n i v e r s i t y ShorltiU( an.l

Amendment (Vice-Chancellor) Act, 1924,’ and shall he read and construed witli the University and University Colleges Act, 1900, as amended hy subsequent Acts.

(2) The University and University Colleges Act, 1900, as so amended is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

(3) This Act shall come into force on a day to he appointed hy the (lovcrnor and notified in the Ca/.elte.

Vice­	(l.v) The Senate may appoint an officer who .shall he styled tho Vice-Chancellor and who shall have and exercise such jiowers, rights, duties, and functions as may he prescribed hy by-laws made by the Senate.

H id. s. S. (4) The Principal Act is further amended by inserting in section eight after the rvords “ two years ” the words “ and the Vice-Chancellor shall hold office while he remains Vice-Chancellor.”
