George V, An Act to increase the endowment of the University

No. 78. Sydney, and for that purpose to amend the University (Amendment) Act, 1912, and certain other Acts. [Assented to, 20th Decem­ ber, 1916.]

T > E it enacted by the Kin»-’s Most Excellent Majesty,

_13by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­

lative Council and Assembly of New South "\Eales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : —

Short title. 1 , This Act may be cited as the “ University (Amend­ ment) Act, 191G.” ‘ .

Tliis Act shall commence and come into force on the first day of April, one thousand luue hundred and seventeen.

Increase of	"■ 2 . (1) Subsection one of section six of the University
endowment.	(Amendment) Act, 1912, is amended by substituting the Avord “ th irty” for the Avord “ tw enty” in that subsection.
(2) The annual endoAvment of the University of Sydney out of the Con.solidated Revenue Eund is further increased by the sum of two thousand pounds for estab­ lishing and maintaining a chair of architecture, and for purjioscs incidental thereto.
