PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1912.

Amendment to Universal Training Regulation 49 (2).

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903-1912 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulation to come into operation forthwith as a Provisional Regulation.

REGULATIONS FOR UNIVERSAL TRAINING. PART III.—SENIOR CADETS.

Amendment.

Regulation 49 (2), which reads—

" The following shall be the articles and the scale of issue of uniform to Senior Cadets :—

Military Shirt, khaki, woollen...................................................................... Breeches, cord, woollen, pairs..................................................................... Hat with band, numeral, and strap.............................................................. Puttees, pairs................................................................................................... One of each on commencement of first year's service.

Subsequent issues of any article will only be made when the first issue of such article has been outgrown or has become unserviceable through fair wear and tear, but not more than two articles of a sort are to be issued during the trainee's service as a Senior Cadet. Issues of uniform found necessary as above will only be made at intervals of six months, i.e., on 1st January and 1st July of each year."

be amended to read as follows :—

" The following shall be the articles and the scale of issue of uniform to Senior Cadets :—

Military Shirt, khaki, woollen....................................................................... Breeches, cord, woollen, pairs...................................................................... Hat with band, numeral, and strap............................................................... Puttees, pairs.................................................................................................... Boots, ankle, brown, Senior Cadets, pairs.................................................. One of each on commencement of first year's service.
