PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1911.

Regulations (Provisional) for Universal Training—Part II.—Registration—Addition—Regulation 8a.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903-1911 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulation to come into operation forthwith as a Provisional Regulation.

REGULATIONS (PROVISIONAL) FOR UNIVERSAL TRAINING—PART II.—REGISTRATION.

Addition.

After Universal Training Regulation 8, add new Regulation 8a.

“8a. The times and places for inspection and medical examination shall be notified by the Area Officer of each Training Area by means of notices exhibited at the Post Offices or other authorized places, or by means of notices posted to a person’s place of abode.

The Medical Examination shall be made with the object of ascertaining the fitness of the person examined for Military Service; and shall be conducted in such way as any medical authority authorized to make examinations from time to time thinks necessary.”
