PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1911.

Regulations (Provisional) for Universal Training—Part III.—Senior Cadets.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903–1911 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulation to come into operation accordingly as a Provisional Regulation.

REGULATIONS (PROVISIONAL) FOR UNIVERSAL TRAINING—PART III.—SENIOR CADETS.

Regulation 58a—Military Competitions. Paragraph 5 to be amended to read:—

“5. Commandants will arrange that competitors are authorized, where it is necessary, to travel to the place of competition by train, steamer, &c. When teams are required to be away from their homes for a night or longer, quarters (or tentage) and messing may be provided, and an expenditure not exceeding 3s. per day per member may be incurred by Commandants for this purpose. Except as provided in paragraph 9, sub-paragraph 11 (c) of this Regulation no other expense to the Government will be permitted unless specially approved by the Minister.”
