DECISION

Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009
s.159—Alteration of other rules of organisation
United Voice
(R2013/497)
MR ENRIGHT MELBOURNE, 7 JANUARY 2014
Alteration of other rules of organisation.

[1]        On 20 December 2013 United Voice (‘the organisation’) lodged with the Fair Work

Commission a notice and declaration setting out particulars of alterations to its rules.

[2]        The particulars set out alterations to rules 18, 19, 20, 75 and new rule 76 of the rules of

the organisation.

[3] On the same day, the organisation gave consent under subsection 159(2) to the General Manager to make amendments to the particulars of the alterations for the purpose of correcting a typographical, clerical or formal error. The amendments made were the deletion of the word “but” where it appeared in the final sentence of proposed rule 19(k) and the replacement of references to “75H” where they appeared in proposed sub-rules 76(c) and 76(d) with references to“75(h)”.

[4]        On the information contained in the notice, I am satisfied the alterations have been

made under the rules of the organisation.

[5]        In my opinion, the alterations comply with and are not contrary to the Fair Work

(Registered Organisations) Act 2009, the Fair Work Act 2009, modern awards and enterprise

agreements, and are not otherwise contrary to law. I certify accordingly under subsection

159(1) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
