Alteration of other rules of organisation.

1. On 5 March 2019 the Victorian Branch of the United Firefighters' Union of Australia (the Branch) lodged with the Fair Work Commission a notice and declaration setting out particulars of an alteration to its rules. On 24 April 2019 further submissions in support of the application were provided to the Commission.

1. On the information contained in the notice and subsequent submissions, I am satisfied the alterations have been made under the rules of the organisation.

1. The particulars set out an alteration to Schedule 2 Rule 1 – Branch Rules of the United Firefighters’ Union of Australia Victorian Branch.

1. The alteration increases the number of members of the Committee of Management by two. An additional Officer Committee member and an additional Firefighter Committee member will be elected from the members employed by the Country Fire Authority

1. In my opinion, the alteration complies with and is not contrary to the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009, the Fair Work Act 2009, modern awards and enterprise agreements, and are not otherwise contrary to law. I certify accordingly under subsection 159(1) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
