Unit Titles (Amendment) Ordinance 1986

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Unit Titles Ordinance 1970
Short title
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Unit Titles (Amendment) Ordinance 1986.1
Commencement
2. This Ordinance shall come into operation on such date as is fixed by the Minister of State for Territories by notice in the Gazette.
Principal Ordinance
3. In this Ordinance, “Principal Ordinance” means the Unit Title Ordinance 1970.2
Other definitions
4. Section 5 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after the definition of “corporation” the following definition:
“ ‘determined fee’ means a fee determined by the Minister under section 116 for the purposes of the provision in which the expression occurs;”.
Proposals for sub-division
5. Section 11 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after sub-section (1) the following sub-section:
“(1A) An application under this section shall be accompanied by the determined fee.”.
6. Section 116 of the Principal Ordinance is repealed and the following section substituted:
Determined fees
“116. The Minister may, by notice in writing published in the Gazette, determine fees for the purposes of this Ordinance.”.
