Uniform Civil Procedure Rules (Amendment
No 67) 2014

The Uniform Rules Committee has made the following rules of court under the Civil Procedure
Act 2005.

Explanatory note
The objects of these Rules are:
| (a) | to correct a cross-reference to a provision that deals with coversheets generated by the Online Registry, and |
| (b) | to provide that the pages of exhibits to affidavits must (where practicable) be consecutively numbered, and |
| (c) | to extend from 4 days to 7 days the period during which an execution creditor on whom a notice of claim is served is given the opportunity to serve a notice of admission on the Sheriff, and after which the court may make an order granting relief by way of interpleader (if no notice is served and the claim is not withdrawn). |

1 Name of Rules
These Rules are the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules (Amendment No 67) 2014.
2 Commencement
These Rules commence on the day on which they are published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005
(1) Rule 3.14 Request to issue subpoena Omit “rule 3.16” from rule 3.14 (4). Insert instead “rule 3.15”.
(2) Rule 35.6 Annexures and exhibits Insert after rule 35.6 (4):
(4A) The pages of an exhibit to an affidavit must (where practicable) be
consecutively numbered in a single series of numbers.
(3) Rule 43.6 Interpleader motion Omit “4 days” from 43.6 (1). Insert instead “7 days”.
