The Uniform Rules Committee has made the following rules of court under the Civil

Procedure Act 2005.

Explanatory note

The object of these Rules is to amend the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005 to make it clear that provisions of the rules that are expressed to apply only in relation to a specified court or courts do not apply in relation to any other court.

1      Name of Rules

These Rules are the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules (Amendment No 54)
2012.

2      Commencement

These Rules commence on the day on which they are published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005

Rule 1.5 Application of these rules

Insert after rule 1.5 (3):

(4) Without limiting the operation of subrule (2), if any Part, Division or other provision of these rules provides that it applies to proceedings or other matters in a specified court or courts, the Part, Division or other provision does not apply to proceedings or other matters in any other court.
