The Uniform Rules Committee has made the following rules of court under the Civil

Procedure Act 2005.

Explanatory note

The object of these Rules is to amend rule 6.2 of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005 so as to provide that originating process for proceedings in the Land and Environment Court is valid for service for 6 months after the date on which it is filed, as is the case for proceedings in the Supreme Court, the Dust Diseases Tribunal and the Local Court.

Rule 6.2 How proceedings commenced

Insert “the Land and Environment Court,” after “the Supreme Court,” in rule 6.2 (4) (a).
