The Uniform Rules Committee made the following rules of court under the Civil

Procedure Act 2005.

Explanatory note

The object of these Rules is to apply all of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005 to the Land and Environment Court in relation to its Class 8 proceedings (that is, proceedings arising under the Mining Act 1992 or the Petroleum (Onshore) Act 1991).

1 Name of Rules

These Rules are the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules (Amendment No 25)
2009.

2      Commencement

These Rules commence on the day on which they are published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005

(1) Schedule 1 Application of rules

Omit “, 3 or 8” from Column 2 of the matter relating to the Land and

Environment Court.

Insert instead “or 3”.

(2)	Schedule 1
Insert “or 8” after “Class 4” in Column 2 of the matter relating to the Land and Environment Court.
