UNCOLLECTED GOODS REGULATIONS 2004

Regulations under the Uncollected Goods Act 2004

1Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Uncollected Goods Regulations 2004.

2Goods to which Act does not apply

For section 9(1)(g) of the Act, the Act does not apply to the bailment, possession or custody of the following goods:

• (a)

  impounded goods to which the following by-laws apply:

  • (i)

    Part 4 of the Alice Springs (Management of Public Places) By‑Laws 2009;

  • (ii)

    by-law 104 of the Darwin City Council By-laws 1994;

  • (iii)

    Part XII of the West Arnhem Regional Council (Jabiru Town) (Roads and Public Places) By-laws 1983;

  • (iv)

    by-law 94 of the Katherine Town Council By-laws 1998;

  • (v)

    by-law 67 of the Palmerston (Public Places) By‑laws 2001;

  • (vi)

    Part V of the Territory Parks and Wildlife Conservation By-laws 1984;

• (b)

  uncollected, abandoned or unclaimed goods to which the following laws apply:

  • (ii)

    rule 81A.35 of the Supreme Court Rules 1987;

  • (iii)

    by-law 12 of the Charles Darwin University (Site and Traffic) By-laws 2005.
