Application for approval of the UGL Queensland Electrical Supply Industry Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021.

[1] An application has been made for the approval of an enterprise agreement known as the UGL Queensland Electrical Supply Industry Enterprise Agreement 2018 – 2021 (‘the Agreement’). The application was made by UGL Utilities Pty Limited (‘the Applicant’) pursuant to s 185 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (‘the Act’). The Agreement is a single-enterprise agreement.

[2] The Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Information, Postal, Plumbing and Allied Services Union of Australia (“the CEPU”), have given notice under s 183 of the Act that they wish to be covered by the Agreement. In accordance with s 201(2) of the Act, I note that the Agreement covers the CEPU.

[3] The Agreement is approved and, in accordance with s 54 of the Act, will operate from seven days after the issuing of this approval decision. The nominal expiry date of the Agreement is 31 March 2021.
